AEM Racers Score Multiple Wins At The NMRA Spring Break Shootout

The Spring Break Shootout is the annual kickoff to the NMRA season, so racers show up in droves to blow the cobwebs off their cars and try to start the year off with a solid performance. There were several racers who laid down records, personal best passes, and picked up wins to begin their campaign on a high note. All of these racers set the new season’s bar high with AEM products onboard their Ford-powered rides.

Mark Duber had a huge weekend behind the wheel of his GT500 at the Spring Break Shootout. His Mustang used an AEM Infinity ECU to help secure the win in the very tough Outlaw True Street class, and scored a runner-up finish in the Modular Xtreme class, as well. His car was running deep into the 4.80s all weekend in the 1/8mile, so it was making some power for sure.

The crate motor Coyote Stock class is one of the most competitive in the NMRA where racers need all the data they can get for adjustments. Multi-time Coyote Stock class champion Drew Lyon was able to use his AEM AQ-1 Data Logger to help secure an event win at the Spring Break Shootout. Lyons also laid down a booming 10.11-second pass with the data he was able to gather from his AQ-1 unit.

John Kauderer had the Coyote Modified field under his thumb all weekend with some impressive passes in qualifying and during eliminations. With his AEM Infinity-controlled Cobra Jet Mustang, Kauderer smashed the Coyote Modified class record with a 7.74-second hit and then went on to win the event with a 7.82-second pass at 172 mph.
