Euro Tuner AWE Reveals Its 2015+ Mustang Exhaust Lineup

We are excited to be bringing our unique performance engineering approach to the domestic market. — Todd Sage, AWE

The Mustang’s global success is spurring tuners from around the globe to produce products for our favorite pony car. Last month we let you know that a European outfit, AWE Tuning, was poised to release a line of products for the 2015+ Mustang. That time has arrived, as the company revealed a complete line of axle- and cat-back exhaust systems for both the EcoBoost Mustang and Mustang GT.

“We’ve built the facility, we’ve built the team, and we’ve mastered our craft over 26 years,” Todd Sager, President of AWE Tuning, said. “Mustang is the next step for the company, and we are excited to be bringing our unique performance engineering approach to the domestic market. This is going to be something special.”

European tuner, AWE is making forays in North America and beyond with a full suite of exhaust options for 2015+ Mustangs.

For the Mustang GT, AWE will offer three configurations: Touring, Track and Switchpath, which lets owners adjust the exhaust sound with a remote control. Meanwhile, the company will service the EcoBoost Mustang with a uniquely tuned Touring system. The GT systems feature 3-inch stainless tubing with integrated H-pipes on the full cat-back systems and both system styles are available with either chrome silver or diamond black tips. Meanwhile, the EcoBoost system is built from 2.5-inch stainless tubing. All are said to deliver drone-free performance.

We are pretty stoked to get a look at the company’s forthcoming carbon-fiber intakes for the EcoBoost and GT, but for now you can purchase the full line of AWE Mustang exhaust products at this page on AmericanMuscle.com.

The AWE Mustang exhaust systems for the 2015 Mustang GT are available in three configurations: Touring , Track and Switchpath, which is adjustable. So you can have an exhaust that’s a little louder, a lot louder, or fully within your control.

All the cat-back systems feature an integrated H-pipe, but the Switchpath systems include an electronic valve, which users can open and close with a remote control.

Ford’s exhaust systems are pretty efficient, but AWE’s exhausts are about more than just sound. The company tested its Switchback system on both chassis and engine dynos and it picked up 8 horsepower and 18 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel and 4 horsepower and 3 lb-ft of torque at the wheels on a Mustang dyno.
