Help Kids Fly & You Might Win A 2017 Mustang Droptop

Last week we shared with you that Ford and the Experimental Aircraft Association once again joined forces to auction off a one-of-a-kind Ford vehicle. This year’s custom vehicle is a 2017 F-150 Raptor inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter jet. However, that doesn’t mean the EAA has stopped selling off Mustangs to benefit its Young Eagles program as they are also raffling off a 2017 Mustang GT convertible at the end of this month.

“Raffle proceeds benefit the EAA Young Eagles program, which provides free first flights to young people ages 8-17 to grow participation in recreational aviation,” says the online listing. “More than two million youth have flown because of the EAA Young Eagles program, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.”

The Experimental Aircraft Association is raffling off a 2017 Mustang GT convertible at the end of this month to benefit its Young Eagles program.

To earn money to support the first flights of Young Eagles, EAA is selling up to 1,500 $100 raffle certificates at the EAA AirVenture Museum or at the EAA AirVenture event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, which runs from July 24-30.

EAA 2017 Mustang GT Options

• Six-speed manual transmission

• Lightning Blue paint

• Ebony Black painted aluminum wheels

• Leather-trimmed seats

• Voice-activated touchscreen navigation system

• Shaker Pro 12-Speaker Audio System

Provided by Kocourek Ford in Wausau, Wisconsin, the 2017 Mustang GT is obviously helping a great cause, but if you win the raffle you won’t just drive away in a new convertible, they will also earn “…The winner’s choice of a flight with aerobatic pilot and Young Eagles Chairman, Sean D. Tucker or lunch with US Airways Flight #1549 First Officer and former Young Eagles Chairman Jeff Skiles, during AirVenture 2018.”

So, if you are in Wisconsin this month and want a crack at winning a new droptop, EAA is hosting the drawing at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, at the AirVenture Welcome Center. Learn more about the auction here and check out the official rules right here.
