Do you miss days of factory-supercharged power pickups that ended when the final 2004 SVT Lightning rolled off the assembly line? If so, there is a modern-day solution available from Beechmont Ford in Cincinnati, Ohio, for just $37,995 and it delivers 725 horsepower thanks to a Whipple supercharger atop its Coyote 5.0-liter engine.
“Our high-performance F-150 offering was inspired by the legendary SVT Lightning,” Charlie Watson, Marketing Manager at Mark Williams Auto Group, told us. “Of course, those only came in regular cab short beds. Our concept is to offer the same performance but in any configuration. If a customer needs a Lariat crew cab, we can make it happen!”
For the price in question, you get a 2018 Ford F-150 XL decked out with 17-inch wheels, color-matched bumpers, fog lights, Sync and not much more. As Charlie mentioned you can add the blower to a more expensive truck if that suits your fancy as well. And, if you are worried about voiding your factory powertrain warranty with all that power, you can add on a Whipple powertrain warranty for just $495.
“This is only the beginning of our performance offerings,” Charlie, added. “We are partnered with all of the leading performance part suppliers and we are currently developing the next big thing!”
