Big news comes to us out of Pompano Beach, Florida, from our friends at Steeda Autosports. The Mustang go-fast parts giant and racing aficionados has announced its entrance into an agreement with the NMRA to sponsor its Limited Street Class event, which debuts at the NMRA World Finals in Bowling Green, Kentucky this weekend.
“We are very proud to be part of a class that will suit the entry-level type of cars that the everyday Mustang enthusiast owns,” Glen Vitale, Vice President of Operations for Steeda Autosports told us. “We have more than 300 part numbers for Fox through S550 generations, which will be legal for this class and will fit perfectly with the intentions of this class for the competition. We have always been involved with in the NMRA since its inception, and this is yet another way for us to support the grassroots drag racing effort that so many of our customers enjoy.”
The class is an entry-level power-adder class which is limited to a single power adder. It is designed for small-blocks in 1954 and newer Ford-bodied vehicles, with entries being limited to 302 to 351 cubic inches, Two-, Three- and Four-Valve 4.6-liter V8s, 5.0-liter Coyotes, 5.4- and 5.8-liter Modular engines.
“We are very proud to announce for 2018 that we are not only sponsoring the NMRA Limited Street Class, but will also be the presenting sponsor for one of the largest and longest-running Mustang drag races in the world, the 2018 Spring Break Shoot Out in Bradenton, Florida,” Glen added.
