Fathouse Fabrications builds some mean cars — there’s no argument about that — and this 2016 Mustang GT is no exception. A Whipple Gen 3 2.9-liter supercharger enhanced the already powerful V8 propelling this Mustang. It sounds good, looks good, and performs just as you’d expect from a Whipplecharged S550.

Fathouse tuned to run on just 91-octane fuel, so it doesn’t require expensive race gas, but it still delivers the extra kick that you’d want and expect with the blower. Coming in at 673 horsepower and 559 lb-ft of wheel torque at the wheels, this thing is ready to tear up the street and the strip.

Upgrading from the second-generation Whipple is as simple as unbolting the old one and swapping on the new one — it doesn’t even necessarily require additional tuning. The latest generation of Whipple’s 2.9-liter supercharger features an updated rotor design and a new case that tightens the tolerances to improve performance output.

“During extensive testing on multiple applications, both Whipple and third-party testing found gains from 30 up to 150 rear-wheel horsepower depending on blower speed and engine specifications,” Whipple says. “Standard pump-gas applications can easily make another 30 rear-wheel horsepower with no other changes. Because boost maintains, tuning is not required. Just bolt on and unleash the power of your stock application.”
