More than twenty years ago, the folks at Baer Brakes out of Phoenix, Arizona, made a commitment to exceed the highest standard in braking components for enthusiasts possible. What began as a quest with early muscle cars like Hal Baer’s ’69 Mustang Mach 1 followed suit into the Fox Mustang era, followed by the SN95, New Edge and S197 platforms. As we dive into Baer’s components today, we’re brought full circle with the sixth generation of Mustang, which is the S550.

Right: Hal Baer's 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Sportsroof represents a very blue pair of Baer 6-Piston big brakes in the front, matched with a set of Forgeline Racing one-piece forged monoblock wheels on all four corners. Both Rick and Hal's Mustangs carry the legacy of Baer quite nicely, thanks to the incorporation of high-quality, made in the U.S.A. components. Images courtesy of Baer Brakes.
