For over 15 years, the team at Brenspeed has specialized in providing Ford enthusiasts a one-stop shop for Ford performance parts and installation. The company is also well known as one of the nation’s largest tuners of Roush production vehicles. Earlier this month, Brenspeed’s owner, Brent White, paid a visit to the Roush Performance headquarters in Plymouth, Michigan, to check out the new 2018 Roush Performance lineup.
What made this particular tour so unique is that Brent was allowed complete access to the Roush assembly line to see the latest F-150, Raptor, and Mustang in process. Brent’s video gives us a rare, firsthand look at how the latest Roush vehicles are prepped dealer lots.
If I could walk through and pick up any vehicle in here this would be the one I would take home today. — Brent White, Brenspeed
“The vehicles are originally stored outside just like they are at Ford,” Brent said. “The vehicles then come into the wash or detail area before they are ready to head down the Roush assembly line. Once the vehicles come in, whether it is a Ford F-150 or a Mustang, it just goes down an assembly line like anything that is manufactured.”
During the tour, Brent walks us through the assembly-line process and shows us that on that day the Roush Performance team had two individual assembly lines — one for the Mustangs and another for the F-150 that are being converted into the custom Roush vehicles. The assembly lines can also be adjusted based on what type of vehicle the design team is building for that week.
The Brenspeed main man spent the rest of the tour checking out all the different configurations that are available for the entire 2018 Roush Performance lineup, and he even picked out a favorite.
“This is a very, very cool color,” Brent said. “I love this thing. If I could walk through and pick up any vehicle in here, this would be the one I would take home today.”
