The new 2019 Ford Edge ST has arrived on showroom floors across North America, and Ford’s first SUV to wear the ST badge is proving to be a welcome addition to the Ford Performance family.
The all-wheel-drive, twin-turbocharged, EcoBoost engine puts out an impressive 335 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque and gives enthusiasts a sports utility vehicle with power and good looks that will hold its own against many of the high-end European SUV’s in its class.
While this vehicle is definitely no slouch in stock form, we knew it was only a matter of time before the aftermarket would get its hands on this vehicle to see how much additional power could be safely extracted out of this 2.7L V6 EcoBoost engine.
Livernois Motorsports and Engineering, a long time leader in EcoBoost performance, has announced they have developed one of the first to market tunes for the 2019 Edge ST. The company has applied what they have learned from previous EcoBoost-powered Ford models like the Ford Focus ST, EcoBoost Mustang and Edge Sport, and the result is a custom tune specifically designed for the Edge ST’s unique calibration.

Using the new MyCalibrator Touch Performance tuner that made its debut at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the company was able to extract additional gains of +28 wheel horsepower and +25 pounds-feet of torque with peak gains as high as +59 wheel horsepower and torque on 93 octane!
Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to spend a full two days with the 2019 Edge ST, and we found that this hot hauler is much more than just a badge and a few exterior upgrades. When you combine the vehicle’s unique ST calibration, eight-speed automatic transmission, and the additional performance boost this Livernois tune will provide, we know that this will be a very popular upgrade for the Ford Performance vehicle.
