Limited Edition Harley-Davidson S550 Up For Grabs Down Under

For the third year in a row, the Ford Mustang dominated sports coupe sales around the globe. Of the nearly 126,000 vehicles registered worldwide, Ford reported that only 81,866 of those are registered to owners in the United States. So, if you do the math, over a third of all Mustang registrations inked in other countries, including Australia, where they love V8 power

There are many Mustang car clubs outside the United States, and when the land down under was officially introduced to its right-hand variant of the popular Mustang, it was an instant success. And it appears our Aussie counterparts prefer having the power of the Gen 2 Coyote’s 5.0 engine as well. According to the Herald Sun Australia, in 2017, fewer than 10 percent of Mustangs sold in Australia were the four-cylinder EcoBoost variety.

Apparently, they liked the tuned up versions as much as we do as well, and this is one that fuses the US-born pony with another healthy slice of American — Harley-Davidson.

Bayford Ford, a popular Mustang Dealership near Melbourne Australia, is known for having a unique selection of custom Ford vehicles. One of which is a 2016 Harley-Davidson Limited Edition Mustang GT.  Once featured on Harley-Davidson TV, an Australian lifestyle series dedicated to the brand, this pony car combines two iconic brands to produce a fully customized ride.

Harley Davidson Edition Mustang Features

• 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine

• 20-inch black alloy wheels

• Bayford List Price: $79,705

• Cervini’s Auto Design hood with dual-scoop top vents

• Custom over-the-top stripe kit

• GT350 Street front spoiler

• Harley-Davidson badging and decals

• Harley Davidson-embroidered black leather interior

• Limited Edition two of two

• ROUSH side scoops

• Shadow Black paint

• Side-exhaust exhaust system

• Six-speed automatic transmission

The Mustang comes standard with all the available features that many Mustang owners want including Sync3, paddle shifters, and touchscreen display and while the price, $79,705 may seem high for those of us here in the United States, that is a pretty fair price in Australian currency.

Custom Harley-Davidson badging with silver-and-orange racing stripes complete the look of this limited-edition Mustang.

This right-hand drive Mustang GT would make the perfect vehicle to get out and explore Australia’s Grand Pacific Highway and take in all the coastal sights that Eastern Australia has to offer. Would you rock a Harley Mustang?
