Owning a rare Mustang is a quest many enthusiasts are on, but owning a one-of-one machine often means winning the favor of lady luck or spending a considerable sum. However, with some luck and $10, you could drive away in the only 2019 Mustang Bullitt painted in Kona Blue and help a great cause in the process.
If you weren’t aware, Ford has long supported the efforts of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, which funds treatment and research into a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Over the past 20 years, JDRF has raised $62 million via fund raising, and the Ford Global Action Team, which started with a charity walk back in 1983, has been a big part of raising funds for the cause.
Last year’s Raptor raffle raised over $90,000 for JDRF, and we expect the Bullitt to do even better. — Ashley Allison, Ford Global Action Team
Over that time, the FGAT has raised money via auctions, bake sales, golf tournaments, JDRF paper sneaker sales, jeans days, One Walk donations, and raffles. Often the raffle prizes are vehicles and this year the team is selling tickets for the chance to win the aforementioned blue Bullitt.
“Our JDRF team, led by Holly Jaskolski, at the Product Development Center secured the Bullitt for us to raffle off,” Ashley Allison, Sr. Coordinator at Ford Global Action Team, told us. “Last year’s Raptor raffle raised over $90,000 for JDRF, and we expect the Bullitt to do even better. All the proceeds go directly to JDRF, which will greatly impact their research to better cure, treat and prevent T1D.”
This year’s raffle is offering 60,000 tickets at $10 each. Those tickets will be available online until November 9, 2018 or until they sell out. On November 13, 2018 at the Ford Conference and Event Center a winner will be drawn. That winner will have to pick up the tab for taxes, insurance, pickup, delivery, etc., but that lucky individual will take home the only Kona Blue 2019 Mustang Bullitt built by Ford.
If you want a shot at being that fortunate Ford fan, you can visit the raffle’s site right here and pick up a ticket.
